Journey SS 10 Sit-On-Top Fishing Kayak

We grabbed 2 of these Pelican 100NXT's a few weeks ago to kayak the small river behind our house. After several trips down the river we have convinced a few friends to look into purchasing like these. We have since picked up a third kayak, the Pelican ARGO 80X, add in a couple sets of wheels for transport and we are good to go. Kayaking in TN is limited to small rivers and lakes, which is all we are planning to float in, so these were perfect for our family.

Back rest could be higher, I just use a stadium seat. We're adding rod holders and extra handles for fishing and portaging.

I bought two Pelican Pioneers for a birthday gift for my significant other. I spent around a month reviewing different kayaks on YouTube and online there wasn’t a lot on the pioneer but they were mostly sold out in our area. I went to the store not completely sure what I was going to buy at first I sat in the pelican mustang and I felt very uncomfortable with the foot rests and size. Once I sat in The Pelican Pioneer i realized that it is the Gucci version of the pelican mustang. It has very comfortable and easily adjustable seats, a cup holder that is flexible for different size sports bottles, storage area and easily adjustable foot rests My favorite features are the paddle holder and the paddle rest. This kayak is very light weight at 43lbs which is easily manageable if I needed to load them up myself and front and back toggle handles incase you have to hike around a rapid. Safe to say I am very happy with this purchase after taking it down the vermillion it tracked pretty strait and handled the river conditions very well.

But I had to take it back. At 6'4\" and size 13 feet, my legs and feet were not comfortable in it at all. At $299 it was a steal, so I was bummed. The quality and features appeared great.

I bought this one several months ago, then some dirt bag stole 2 of my kayaks by cutting the lock on the Russian River. I re bought this kayak because it was great.

Wide and stable sit on kayak with good tracking, perfect as an introduction and beyond kayak on both lakes and rivers.

I bought two of these kayaks during the past winter after they went on sale. My girlfriend and I probably used them at least 30 times this summer. They are light, maneuver well and both can be transported inside my minivan. They track well and are also very stable. I would not recommend them for ocean use but they do very well even in choppy conditions on a lake. When it comes to fun for your money they can not be beat.

I bought this kayak a few weeks ago and just love it! I am a middle age petite person and I am able to load and unload just fine! Glides across the water effortlessly!!!

Bought this for my teen son. This light weight, love the bag for food, shoes or sweatshirt storage & the front covered bucket area (sorry can't remember the proper term) He loves the kayak

I bought this kayak the beginning of April and waited impatiently for good weather to launch my maiden voyage. Yesterday was the day and I couldn’t be happier with how easy it was to transport on wheels and how stable it was in the water and tracked well. I know I am going to have many happy hours paddling my Mustang!
