Pelican Mustang 100X Kayak

Just what I was looking for! I was looking for a good quality fishing Kayak that was reasonably priced,

Pretty good amount of storage and good stability as well, pretty satisfied to us for fishing and accessing hunting spots around water

I have owned this Kayak for over 3 years now. I wanted something very stable and comfortable and this is it! The adjustable foot pedals are great and easy to change, the padded seat and padded adjustable back rest are perfect! I have had it in strip mines, lakes, and creeks and canals.

I bought this kayak 2 weeks ago & thoroughly enjoying it!!! Hoping to get another one as soon as Dick’s gets another in.

The seat of Teton is super comfortable. The length is just right for small pickup truck transit.

The only con I found in this kayak is the tracking is not very well. But it is designed for fishing not long paddling. So I am good with it.

Can’t beat the price for under $200. It’s light and it floats what else could you want for that price.

I bought this kayak after my previous 1’s seat was miserable on my back, & took in too much water with the low sides. I went to my local store to try out the seat and see how high the sides were. The Pelican Mustang seat is awesome and comfortable after a full day of kayaking! I only had water enter with my clumsy initial loading. I was worried about a heavy kayak and this kayak glides through the water! I watched the video and read so many reviews. I don’t have much upper body strength and I had zero issues loading or unloading and moving. The Mustang makes days of kayaking relaxing and fun! I bought mine on sale thankfully, & after experiencing it I would pay full price

I am a beginner Kayakian, I am 5'2 and let's just say I am not fat and I am not skinny but somewhere in-between. I can't swim but I like doing water activities, I felt safe in this kayak, but of course, I was wearing a life vest that I also purchased from DSG. For someone who has only been in a kayak less than 5 times, I felt this kayak tracked well and fast enough that I kept up with my husband. I even went fishing and found that it's easy to get the poles in and out of the holders, the paddle grooves held the paddle well even with all the movement. We went kayaking for about 2 hours, my bottom didn't hurt after we were done so that means the seat is fairly comfortable. The loading and unloading was no issue, I could have carried this myself but I didn't because I didn't have to, but if I did I could. Color was sharp, only issue I had was when we bought it there was so much residue inside the kayak that we couldn't get all the shavings out, but it was no big deal, at least I know it just came from the factory. All-in-all, I would recommend this kayak, especially at this price point for recreation or fishing (I didn't catch anything, BTW).
