We bought two of these kayaks which we are happy with. We were told at the time of purchase that the track system takes Scotty assesories so we ordered two cup holders that the salesman showed us on his phone. They don't fit the rail system and Dicks does not carry anything at this time.

I have owned 5 kayaks. All are/were fishing specific models. One is a high-end model costing more than twice the price of the Rambler 13.5. I do a lot of salt water fishing in the estuaries and channels close to the Intercoastal Waterway on the NC coast. The Rambler is my favorite. The hull is exceedingly sturdy and has stood up well to the scraping of oyster bars. It is fast enough despite its weight, tracks well and is exceedingly stable. It is true that the stock seats are pretty worthless, at least for adults. You will need to get some after-market replacements with much higher and more rigid backs. Essentially, it is an excellent platform for modification into a great fishing kayak. The lack of storage hatches, to my mind, is a positive because you don’t have to worry about leaking seals and the hull has immense carrying capacity as is. Even with the added expense of new seats, a paddle anchor and rod holders it is still an excellent bargain.
PS: i’ve taken it out with the seat both in the rear and the center. Both work but the center position really improves handling and allows for space to bungee in a full milk-crate w rod holders behind the seat.Ang******ff
Perfect size stable Kayak ! This model will fit inside my small Honda CRV, so I don't have to mess with external roof top mounts. I did have to add some Handles to help in wrangling the kayak in and out of the car and water. Tried the 8'4\" model, it was not stable for the lakes I use, and yawed back and forth. This 10' model is stable and does not yaw. Added some fishing rod holders to convert a regular kayak into a fishing kayak. Gets a bit exciting trying to get the lure out of the fish, especially a large Pike !

We are new to kayaking and wanted a way for our family to get more active. These are a fun way to be active and enjoy the outdoors. They are very stable, easy to get in and out of. The kayak seat and leg opening is perfect, not too confining. Highly recommend for beginners.

Great in slow water, and so far so good in faster waters. Probably not the best for anything beyond level ones, but have been in level twos and it has not submerged yet. I recommend a float bag in front and a good dry bag, and not to use this beyond your skills, but pretty versatile and fun little kayak. Bonus being ultra light and easy to store and transport. Perfect for guests, or for getting started. You won't grow out of it too quickly, and it will always make a great spare!

my roommate bought the swifty and i walked in thinking that i was going to buy the swifty as well, but after a sales associate brought down one of the pelican mustangs i was sold. the foot rests on the pelican are better, the weight of the pelican is better, she FLIES across the water (i can do laps around my friends), it's not as boxy as the swifty AND, most importantly, all of the storage on the pelican! i don't think i would recommend any other kayak, i've already convinced my parents and my brother to buy the pelican mustang as well!
the ONLY restraint i had about the pelican was that the bottom is white, and i would have liked something with all over color, but that was mostly a cosmetic thing on my part and i got over it because, whatever, it's gonna get all scratched and used regardless and nobody can see it out on the water.ha****5
