I really like this kayak except for one issue. I’m 6’-2” and I find I prefer the molded in foot rests in our older boats rather than the larger ones in this boat. Other than that it’s great.

We live on a decent sized lake and this is a fun kayak that tracks well without a lot of work. I wish it had an enclosed storage compartment and a better cup holder, but other than that, it is great!

First of all, I will say this is NOT a white water kayak. I will repeat. This is NOT a white water kayak. I am 6’1”, 220 lbs. it’s a great size. I have lots of leg room and it tracks nicely. I use it for creeks and on the river. Has good stability and I’m never worried about tipping over. They could make use of the large bow up front by adding more storage but that’s not a big deal to me. There’s plenty of room in the back one. Adding a true cup holder would’ve been a nice touch. I love the seat. Very comfortable! I would recommend this kayak!

I have several kayaks. Bought this one to take my wife out and to use as either a solo or tandem when children come and friends visit. This is an excellent hull, especially so at the price. It is roto-molded meaning there are no seams. The molded in side handles are a great touch and the bow and stern cord/handle grips are excellent. The hull tracks beautifully and is still pretty maneuverable especially if paddled solo from the rear. It is very stable. You could perhaps fall off but I doubt you could flip it and even if you did it would pop right back up. It is rated at 550 lbs carrying capacity. It is pretty heavy but one should expect this from a 13.5 ft tandem. The seats, however, are awful the backs have zero rigidity. Whenever I tried to lean back on them they collapsed - no matter how tight you torque the straps. The up-grade seat sold by Dick's is even worse. However, there are some good after-market seats which should be much better. I've ordered two on-line. I'll add some accessories to make it more serviceable as a fishing platform but customizing is part of the fun. On balance the quality of the hull and the price are such that I am still happy with the purchase.

I’m a beginner and this was a great starter kayak for me. Awesome features, great color, and easy to maneuver. Great price as well!

I have been looking for an angler kayak for quite some time. This unit is a great deal and has awesome expandable and built in features

I actually exchanged the Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT for a Trailblazer 80 NXT because it was easier for me to handle a smaller kayak by myself. I sure am glad I did. It has plenty of room in it, and is very stable in the water.

I’ve only taken this out once but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great color and was very comfortable for a 5’10 adult male.

This is my first kayak purchase after reading so many good reviews. It does indeed track very well and is sturdy. The cockpit is spacious and the seat is very comfortable. About a week ago we were caught in a storm cell on a large lake, with 70mph winds and at least 2-3' waves. I was lucky to have a friend with me so we could hold onto each others boats while we were blown to an islands shore - this girl held up VERY well through those waves and wind, and provided me shelter on the island. I surprisingly didn't take on that much water either.
My only beef is that the handle broke on literally the very first time we carried it to the water; I'll need to replace it with some sturdier rope.Mi*****ee
Purchased this unit on sale and I love it. Can’t wait for summer so I can use it more.
