Lifetime Fathom 10 Stand-Up Paddle Board

I spent weeks in research and watched YouTube video after YouTube video and read review after review of all the affordable kayaks under $500. The lifetime brand kept coming up with the Tamarack being the most popular, however the seat was to be desirable. It seems like the Teton solved that problem. I have been out multiple times for three and four hours at a time with no back issues at all. The kayak doesn't track in the water very straight under paddle, more like left and right and left and right with each paddle. However, if you don't know any better, it's just fine. You only notice it when you try out other kayaks. However, they lack the space, good seat, and the storage areas. I have found that for fly fishing, I would prefer a lighter kayak with less things to get hooks caught on (track, bungees, rod holders etc). I'm not 100% sold that this is my one and only kayak, but so far I've really enjoyed it. I did buy an adjustable rod holder to fit in the track system. Sometimes I use it and sometimes I don't. I did find that the weights of my 195 lb frame causes water to come up through the scupper holes, so I found a YouTube video that suggested foam golf balls to plug the holes. That's exactly what I did. It solved the problem. Kayak is dry! This one did not come with a paddle so I did spend the extra money on that.

I like this kayak alot since I usually go by myself and its easy to load and unload from the car. Storage area is good enough for my fish finder battery and some tackle boxes along with a small cooler. Only bad think was that it came with a broken cover of the storage compartments but the store refunded me 10% of the value and with that money I could buy and ship a cover replacement from manufacturer. So I cannot complain and the product has good quality/price ration, I'm truly satisfied.

This model kayak has always been reliable and a quality product. Recently changed names but same exact kayak. We have 6 of these now and would continue to recommend. Always paddles straight and very user friendly even for novice kayakers.

I bought it 4 days ago. Been out twice, its very stable and faster than i thought it would be. My 1st kayak so i have nothing to compare it with. But so far i like it a lot.

I have a very expensive sit on top kayak and bought this kayak as an extra one for family and friends. I took it out to try it and am so impressed!! It Paddles fast and trails perfectly. It is very comfortable and I will be getting one more.....You can't go wrong with this kayak!!

Bought two kayaks to use on local lakes. Handles well and no issues. Would recommend.
