This is a great kayak, especially for the price. It has a wide beam and a deep draw, and is quite stable. The hull material is quite thick, and I feel like it should stand up to scrapes on rocky shores and concrete boat ramps. Not the sleekest boat, so if you want speed, this isn’t the one for you.
I will say though, that the 300 lb capacity is not a mere “suggestion”. I assumed that there would be some tolerance in the numbers, but I was wrong. The boat didn’t sink with my 320 lbs plus gear and beer, but water came up through the scupper holes and flooded the boat, and she was quite unsteady sitting that low in the water.Li*****un
Great kayak. Only flaw is the bag is not waterproof.

I bought one a couple months ago. My wife and I own several different kayaks. The Rambler is the most stable kayak I have ever tried .I can bring just about anything along that I want; A big cooler, big tackle box, anchor., fishing pole. I bring cushions along. Why? So I can put the seat backrest down and take a nap on this kayak! I take toddlers along and they feel very secure on the kayak. One note, I bought a role of Velcro to put on the seat surfaces so the seat doesn't slide around. I just bought a second Rambler to bring my novice friends out with me.

Love it, very sturdy and easy to steer , I’m new to kayaking and this is a good choice for a first kayak. I am still learning how to fish from it and cast sitting down but that is to be expected.

Bought this after selling my 12' angler kayak with stand alone seat due to how much of a hassle it was to handle/load by myself. This 10' kayak with this seat, Scotty rails and 2 flush rod holders and only weighing 53lbs its perfect for a guy like me who loves to fish often, but may also just take the random trips to cruise around a lake with my wife. Absolutely perfect fish/recreational kayak. Great price, I mean an unreal deal at $329 plus any deals dicks has at the time, lucky for me I was able to get an additional $20 off due to a special and dicks cash. Way better than my last angler kayak that was $600+. Only negative I have to say is there rails are kind of short, and there is no dry storage. Otherwise I think this thing is set up with an angler in mind that wants quality but refuses to spend an unrealistic amount of money on a plastic boat. Great great kayak, cannot wait to get it out and start landing some fish.

This kayak is perfect for any situation. It is stable, durable and a good price! I can even fish on this thing without any stability issues. Great for a quick round of fishing after work.

Bought it a month ago and took it out twice now. Really easy to paddle in, stable and fun to use on local lake. So glad I bought it.

I am so happy with my kayak!!! After searching and watching videos, I decided on Pelican Mustang and love it! Very stable and beautiful colors to select from. Easy to carry because only weighs 39 lbs and I am over 50 and was able to carry. Sits very good and has back support and I was comfortable and it’s roomy. Can hold up to 300 lbs and has indentations so you can do some modifications to it. Overall would definitely recommend and I am very happy with purchase!
